SAT Math Test Prep

Your gift of teaching and intelligence truly has changed my life! I can graduate with my bachelors debt free and have confidence I can conquer anything because the SAT was a huge wall in my life.
I highly recommend Kennon! Whether it’s for SAT, ACT, or just tutoring in math subject. I was trying to get a certain SAT score to receive Bright Futures, and Kennon teaches you how to answer the problems in a simple and quick manner. He teaches students how to tackle the problem with simplified math that most students know. Excellent teacher. He challenges and motivates the student. I received my Bright Futures Scholarship and now can graduate debt free.

Kennon McCaa has a great deal of experience with the content and structure of the SAT math exam, as evidenced by his 14-year-old son’s perfect score: 800/800. Kennon has invested countless hours studying, categorizing and sorting the sample problems made available by the SAT. He utilizes his knowledge, the official SAT practice tests and over 1,000 sample questions to identify and address the weaknesses of each individual student.

SAT Prep – Requires Dedication

Although Kennon is extremely knowledgeable about the SAT, he cannot take the test for you! He does not want to spend his retirement behind bars! Ultimately, a student’s score is determined by how hard he or she works to complete practice problems, learn the content, and utilize the tips, knowledge, and skills that are shared with them. We believe that the SAT is not solely a test of intelligence, but rather a measure of preparation and dedication. To make any significant improvements, students are encouraged to spend 20-30 minutes per day completing practice tests and additional practice problems that we recommend to fit their needs. Think of these 20-30 minutes as a daily exercise for your brain. Muscles cannot grow overnight; it takes daily effort to make a permanent, significant improvement.

SAT Prep – An Excellent Investment

Studying for the SAT is a great investment. Kennon likes to say, “Improved scores, open doors!” Not only can better scores improve a student’s chances of admissions, but they can also lead to improved financial aid offers. Spending a few hours and a few hundred dollars preparing can often lead to saving tens of thousands of dollars in tuition over 4 years of college. Rarely does one get the opportunity to save so much money from so little work and from such a small investment.

Thank you for helping my daughter improve her SAT score. It has opened up many opportunities for her that wouldn’t have otherwise been possible. We are very thankful for your help.

SAT Prep – Take the First Step

A great first step toward improving your score is to request our free SAT math study guide. Next, complete a free official SAT practice test in the College Board’s Bluebook app. Next, schedule an initial 60 minute tutoring session so we can identify your most significant weaknesses, and we can start helping you review the most important topics as well as introduce several great test taking strategies. Once we have had the initial session, we can decide the right schedule for you based on your skills, availability, goals, and test date. As the test day approaches, make sure to read our blog post about preparing for success on test day.

Students seeking individual test prep must:

  1. Prepay for a test prep package.
  2. Schedule an initial one hour study session, where we will review your mistakes on your Bluebook practice test. Please plan ahead. It’s best to start tutoring at least one month before the test.
  3. We will work together to come up with a schedule based on your needs and availability. After each session, I will send follow-up practice based on your needs from that session.
  4. Study hard and do your assigned homework.
