Your child’s success is very important to me, unfortunately, I do not always have immediate, regular weekly openings. Luckily, with about 50 students there are usually some cancellations. New students usually go from sporadic appointments to regular appointments within a couple weeks.
Please read my welcome letter and if I sound like a great fit for your child, please complete the form at the bottom of this page:
Availability Matters
My tutoring hours are Sunday – Thursday: 2 PM – 7 PM. If your child is involved in after school activities five days a week until 7 PM, then there is no chance that I will ever be able to help them.
Algebra 1 or Above
During the school year, I only tutor students in Algebra 1 or above. With so many older students needing critical SAT & ACT prep, I must prioritize those older students. Accelerated younger students (middle school and above) are welcome during the summer.
Alternatives
My son, Carter, a National Merit Scholar, has a perfect 800 on the SAT math test, and completed Differential Equations in 10th grade, so he is a viable option for any math subject or physics.
I also have an experienced tutor, Cindy, that I can refer you to for elementary students up to 4th grade. She was an elementary school teacher for many years, and was named the Teacher of the Year in her district.
Summer Tutoring: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure
Often, a great way to get tutoring is over the summer. I usually have plenty of availability during the summer, and even work with middle schoolers over the summer. A few lessons during the summer to preview the most confusing topics of the upcoming year, can really set a student up for a successful year. Students in Algebra 1 or above that study throughout the full summer will have priority for regular weekly openings (made available from non-returning spring students) in the fall.
